Evening stroll

It's been a little hot and humid so we escaped to Boondall wetlands for an evening stroll this weekend along the walkway through the mangroves (sounds delightful, hey?!). Actually very pleasant and interesting and, most importantly cool, as we wended our way to the sea. Lots to investigate - birds to spot from a hide, burgandy crabs to imagine Bear Grills eating and kookaburras having their last laugh. Great stuff.

Never work with kids or animals! Pictured are Nicholas with his cousins Blake and Eve. Nicholas and I have just been down to Victoria to visit loads of family, celebrate Bianca and Stuey's birthdays, enjoy an evening beach visit and anywhere air-conditioned (yes, one of those Melbourne weeeknds!). Being there was great... I just can't say the 2 x 2hr flights were as relaxing!
